Hey Neil,

It's a good subject and you've got the right time to catch it. The lights have warmed it up a good bit.. it might be worth a try to use tungsten white balancing to see what it does for you.

Either you've got a lot of noise or there was some distortion during resize.

You've got what looks like a reflection at about 8o'clock on the left.... that can be cloned out in PS. As for the ones at 9OC... could be tought to clean out. as you've probably guessed.. prevention is better than cure. I try clean my lens of any dust.Mostly I've been staying back from the subject in question (to prevent it reflecting on me) and using a lens hood (to prevent reflections from the side). Other than that, I've been relying on luck.

It looks lightly leaned to the right... that might just be the angle of the road vs the camera that is an optical illusion. I usually use the slect tool to draw a line along a "level" subjec to judge the levelness of the subject.

You're in what might be one of the top 3 locations on the island for landscape photography. Check out Irelandscape.com for some ideas.

Thanks very much guys...

Thanks for the info and tips Joe.. its always helpful when u get someone who knows alot more than you do yourself and they are prepared to give you alil bit of their time and spread the wealth of knowledge.. (one of the reasons i like this site so much is cause everyone helps whatever way they can)

As for being in one of the top 3 places in Ireland for Landscapes.. I would have to agree... BUTthis is my last week here as i move to Dublin this weekend and prob wont b back in Armagh for a long time...... Funny how i only discover the landscape around me a few days before i move house
