I ran back inside for my kit to try get a photo. I carefully entered the field to avoid spooking the bird and this is what I found instead:
I guess my cat, Blackie, was already stalking the pheasant. He's previously caught an adult female (which we rescued to his disgust), regularly chases my sister's dog and I once witnessed him trying to hunt sheep. I only wish I'd been into photography for that last one. -

Out of everything I take photos of, I have found that my cats are easily the most frustrating subjects, they demand a LOT of patience! But I can't resist it.. This is Tassie (named that BEFORE we moved to Tasmania..) Gotta love cat photos!!
