Heh. I had a cat that would sit at the table like that and when he would open his mouth that far to meow. He even had the missing tooth.

lol, she has a few missing teeth, my wife found her in a parking lot, down to skin and bones but super friendly. She was probably close to dieing, hence the name Zombie :) This was right after we lost one of our cats, so she brought her home. About $500 later we have a healthy cat. The vet said that her jaw had been broken and they had to pull a few more teeth next to the missing fangs because they were rotting or something. She'll sit up on her hind legs like that at the table without her paws up there as if she's trying to fit in and sit and have dinner with us, lol.

3D that's a great pic and a really cute cat.

Ours will do the same thing, he loves sitting at the table.
When we have friends and family over for dinner if someone leaves their seat for more than 15secs he's in there chair.
At this point we pretty much just get another chair out for him to sit on so no one looses a seat lol. My dad actually started it at thanksgiving when he got tired of moving the cat of his seat.
He went down stairs and came back with another folding chair and put it off to the side.

Here is a pic of him that I grabbed with my point and shoot canon. He was trying to avoid being stepped one while we were cleaning up and I looked over and it looked like he was ready to be served dinner.

Sounds like cats sitting at the table is genetic.
Here's my cat Bosco waiting at the table. No food, just a flash in his face!

It's not easy! Lenny is about 2 pounds more than Carl, so if they are right next to each other you can tell, otherwise you have to feel their tails, as Carl's has a kink at the end. That's how I can tell who crawled onto me in the middle of the night

That's odd our one cat has a kink at the end of his tail too, but she was a rescue cat that our friends gave us. Not really sure how she got it.

That middle pic is just adorable.

Kevin - the neighborhood outside cat that likes to come to our door and look around inside from time to time.
A few shots of him looking back outside through the blinds shot with the 100mm L at f/4.
