I envy you guys with the natural light of the outdoors on your cats, but keep them indoors. Your cats will live much longer, healthier lives.

That is not necessarily true.
A domesticated cat lives longer, but that also goes for any other domesticated animal. No matter if they are indoors or outdoors.

Not necessarily. Keep them away from traffic, sure. Make sure they get their shots annually, definitely. All my cats are inside/outside, as they choose.

This one went to the vet last week for his shots - the vet and his assistant were amazed at his condition, considering he's 17 years old. Has all his teeth and they're in good shape, too.

I agree. We have two who are in their mid teens and go in and out as they please. They've all been fixed and get their shots at the vet and have lived long lives. Of course as they get older they tend to prefer staying inside most of the time.
