It was a bittersweet moment this morning when I captured the fallen Seaside Coaster which will be removed any day now and will be gone forever

#2 is stunning. The long exposure really gives it that feel of faded-memory, especially the ghosted flag.

Number 2 is fantastic. Too bad about the coaster (and all the other damage from the storm). :(

Awesome capture! I haven't been to Seaside since the storm. How far is that thing from the shoreline? What lens did you use? I hope to take a pic of it before they remove it. I'm only like 45 mins away.

@Ready2go I see you already answered your question but here's another shot of the coaster that I grabbed while doing a fly-by

Amazing shots. That last shot really says a lot about the scale of the destruction. Were you the one that posted sunrise or sunset photos of the coaster before? (Edit...wasn't your shot...I did a search!)

That's a depressing photo. Gonna miss that but hopefully we'll rebuild bigger and better.

They're both nice and both different in symbolic ways.

As others have said, the second photo is outstanding! You should market it. I'm willing to bet that it would be picked up for publication in a news story.

I returned to the coaster site this morning and grabbed another version. This time the ocean was a little bit calmer
