Name just one small feature change/upgrade you would like to make to your camera or see introduced in a future release. I'm talking about some little feature you can't understand why they haven't done it, it's inexplicable as to why it hasn't been done.

Mine would be, I would really like an ISO button on the portrait grip, or, even all the buttons (wb/af/iso) mirrored there. So Canon, next grip and next 1d i want to see this!

So no silly comments of i want 50+/- ev of dynamic range and zero noise sensors, just little features that would help you out a little when shooting....

So what do you want?

Current gear: EOS 7D w/ BG-E7
300mm f4L IS, 70-200mm f2.8L IS II, 24-70mm f2.8L, 85mm f1.8, 1.4x mkII tc, 430ex.

I want a less expensive body. I would gladly pay 10% less to get a camera without the video accoutrements like LV, video recording, sound recording, and the flippy screen.

Eye-controlled AF would be a no-brainer with today's electronics. Jeez, it worked fine 10 years ago and Canon abandoned it.

EC in manual mode with auto-ISO.

Sorry for making three suggestions. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling.

Stop hiding functions behind extremely convoluted menus. I want simplicity, the ability to get where I need to be at the touch of a single button.

That would be great!

I'm not sure if a body already has this but Id like a preset mode when using manual.

My shooting is very wild sometimes where I have to go from bulb mode to 1/2000 and I hate the couple of seconds it takes to turn the dial. Wish there was a button that I could press that would take me from bulb to at least 1/250 in one second.

EC in M mode.

Huh?

How would twiddling a dial in M to enact EC (ie change aperture or shutter or both) be different form twiddling a dial in M to change aperture or shutter? (and thus exposure)

ISO dial would be great, or just give us a 3rd dial and let us assign which one is shutter, which is aperture, which is ISO. With the move from film to digital, setting ISO is no longer about stopping shooting to change film, it's a camera setting that should be as fast and intuitive as changing aperture etc.

I still want a square or octagonal sensor so we can drop the portrait orientation all together. Give us a button where we change the aspect ratio (or crop) on the sensor and viewfinder at the push of a button while making our cameras smaller.

1D MkIII has a feature that would solve your porblem, you can set a preset default for how the camera behaves when you press the * button. It's my favorite 1D MkIII custom function!

I can be setting the camera for a bird perched quietly on a branch on the shade of the leaves,. get it all dialed in then suddenly the bird takes off into the sunlight. My settings are no good, shutter is too slow of the movement, etc.. BUT I just move my thumb to the * button and enact full tracking AF, drop the f/stop down to wide open, and let the shutter speed jump up to where the light let's it go in aperture priority.

Wouldn't that depend on if you use auto-ISO or not?

But then you really arent in M mode. You are in another auto mode, just changing the auto variable away from the AV-TV. Yes I know it says M on the dial in that mode, but its not really M.
