You have some orange/red colored light in most of the color photos, esp. the first and last ones in your second post. Not sure what editing software you use, but you should be able to fix that.

I like the first one a lot, but I wish her entire left arm was in it (the hairpiece is cut off, too). I have to remind myself of this all the time, but don't forget that you can always crop, so it's not a bad idea to frame wider initially to give yourself that room!

Cute kid!

I use LR3, I'll play with the color levels in that case that's a good tip, those were all shot natural light but it was probably half an hour from sunset.

I wish I had gotten wider, I was on a 7d crop with a 50 1.4. Picked up a full frame so this was shot before I got my new camera. Reason I like the last one of the 2nd post is because nothing of her is cropped out I managed to get back enough.

The first set are definitely your best. I think the second set you posted have issues with the skin tones.

You have some overexposure going on as well as color balance which needs adjusting - too orange/red in some. The first two are your best composition wise but watch out about chopping off the hat thing. The last few - watch out for distracting backgrounds behind your subject. Focus and DOF look pretty good. Reducing your overall exposure and adding a little fill light to the face would do wonders.

I had grabbed a quick shot of my Granddaughter in the same type of light that you was working in. But it would of not worked with these type of shots so i went the other way

All i did was go Neg in the red Channel in saturation in Photoshop with a layer that's all. I am a newbie to all this stuff trying to learn my way around still.

I like the ones that you said that you'd print, but would burn that UGLY brown "rug" that you put on her! (It was a gift, right?)
