Mar 01, 2013 14:21 | #1 My wife wants a MB Air, most of what I'm seeing only have 2gb of ram. She will be using this for school so only Microsoft office, email and internet....is 2gb of ram enough or will she be unhappy with it's performance. Most also have the core 2 duo processors and SSD drives.

If she were to start using a program (say like Aperture), more RAM would be better. I own a Macbook Pro and went with it mainly because the MB Air does not have a disk drive. I have 8GB in my iMac and even when running multiple browsers, editing photos in LR, emailing, listening to music, as well as other things, I hardly ever go over 25% of my RAM capacity. Mountain Lion runs just fine on my Core 2 Duo/Nvidia 9400 MacBook Air with 2 GB RAM and a 120 GB SSD.
