I have not seen any yet either(hummers). I hope it will be soon as many flowers are blossoming now. I see more eastern bluebirds now that I've added some fruits to the feeders outside. I hope to get some captures of them soon and maybe the little ones too.

Just before leaving for work this morning I took some captures of this mourning dove in flight, the light is soft this early so it is a struggle to get the settings down.

The Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) also called the Turtle Dove or the American Mourning Dove or Rain Dove

[QUOTE=bwfishing;15794392]I. May put out some fruit like raisins and currants after they been soaked in water. I've not tried it yet, so I wonder if anyone could share their experience with fruits to attract birds like, waxwings, bluebirds, orioles and tanagers, or others, that could help? Also flowers include Salvia guaranitica 'Black and Blue', and Confederate Jasmine seem to make the hummers happy.

QUOTE]

Not sure on the other birds, but my grandmother has great luck attreacting orioles by pounding a nail into a tree and sticking half an orange on it(cut side out of course). You might waste a few oranges if you put them out too early, but the male usually shows up as a scout of sorts, finds out where the food is and the female follows him in. Better to waste $2 in oranges than put them out too late and miss the orioles completely.

Shackleton, sounds good thanks for the tip! I'll give it a try. Orioles are really beautiful birds. If I get some good shots I certainly post them here...

That's a great humming bird shot, Peter.
