Thanks Peter, love those flicker shots.
N.V.M. , I know the feeling about not being to get out and about ( I suffer from Gout ), but I am lucky to have the birds come to me. Nice shot of the Robin.

Get well soon guys! Well, I'm sure enjoying your work! The robins appear to be nesting nicely around my yard. I think maybe early May the little ones should be out following Mom and Dad. I've not seen a flicker yet, but the red bellied woodpeckers are fairly active. How cool is it to have parrots in your backyard! That is awesome! I read somewhere that the spotted pardalote sometimes nest in tunnels. They are some really beautiful birds!

Just before leaving for work captures of Bluebird(s).

Playing around with the new Kenko 1.4x TC on my 400 5.6 this morning. It AF'd fine at f8 on the 6D. These are pretty heavy crops, too.

Couple Downy WP shots.

Thanks. I have the 2x version. It's pretty good, but the IQ suffers quite a bit more with it. Not surprising, really. If you have very good light, it still does ok. AF is definitely less likely with it on the 400 5.6. If you use center point and have a heavy contrast vertical, it might grab focus. The 1.4x is much more reliable when it comes to AF.

Nice shot, btw. Especially in that grass. Great catch lights in the eyes.

My garden was sooo quiet this morning. Sure enough, when I looked up, a pair of these were circling overhead. They sent every other bird into hiding:

Always circling above my house too but way too high, this one is a nice one. Great detail.

Thanks Peter. Two super shots above you've taken there. A Hummer and Pine Siskin(?)

No predators visible above my garden today and the small birds have started to come out of hiding and back to the feeders. They're still wary though:

Thanks Peter, I've added you as a contact :)

Here's the female Greater spotted Woodpecker who will hopefully be raising some young birds soon:

Nice BIF! The catch light on the eye is perfect!
I've only seen a buzzard at the Raptor Center really cool to see one in flight!
Either is really quiet or crows and mockbirds making so much noise that I know a bird of prey is around the house.

Really nice shot of the spotted woodpecker too! A really excellent pose as you get to see different color patterns across the bird.
