Yeah, I've not seen the adult mockingbird that has been a regular for like the last 2 months. I've seen all of the regular doves today.

That's a shame. But I suppose the Hawk has to eat too. I just wish it picked a different variety of meal.

This is probably the rarest bird I have ever seen in my backyard. Its a common Greater Antillean Grackle which usually is all black. Ive read of some rare individuals showing some white feathers. This guy is something else. I searched the net for anything similar but found nothing. Ive seen perhaps one tiny spot in some but never like this.

Wonder what happend to the Greater Antillean Grackle? The 4th shot looks like poor bird is covered in white marks. I don't see anything on the tail I wonder if that is next?
Can birds get vitiligo?

My book reference, Puerto Rico's Birds in Photographs, by Mark Oberle says that some RARE individuals have varying amounts of white feathers. Like I said Ive seen some birds with a few, scant white feathers but never like this guy.

Lucky you on the other side of ponds to get the best. All we have here is B&W version "Willow Tit" still cute creatures.

Thanks fellas These are cute little birds, probably like Hummers which are prolific in parts of the U.S., if you see them every day you get so used to them you forget how good looking they are. Some of the shots of Hummingbirds I've seen on here have had me looking at airline ticket availability!
