This is kinda an odd question, but I am purchasing a new machine for my company that uses a canon slr(I think a t2 or 3) to capture the machining bed and allow for part placement. I am of course happy the company uses canon
. Anyway, the camera itself is remotely controlled at the PC. The PC will be about 40-60 ft. Away from the camera in terms of cord running distance. The camera will be mounted on the ceiling of a building and I haven't decided if I will make a housing for it or not.
My questions are:
Are there cords this long and where do I get them?
Can a canon have a physical power connection and never need a battery change? If so, any tips on a camera spending its entire service life under this scenerio?
Any tips in general for a 100% remote camera run by a pc and power cord for all of its use? It will be 20ft. In the air and basically inaccessible or at least inaccessible for maintenance more than once every couple of months.
Thanks
