My DPP HDR doesn't work any more. It used to but now it has these lines part way through each picture screen and that's all I get, no presets, save as or anything else. It used to work. Does anyone know why it's stopped? :(
Damn, I am trying to take a screen shot so you can see what I mean but it's not working.
OK, for some reason I cannot take a screen shot so I've taken an actual photo so you can see what I mean. I'd really like to get it working again, any help will be much appreciated.

What camera, OS, DPP version? Have you updated anything on your computer recently? Are the source raw images okay? Etc. I would guess DPP doesn't stop working all by itself, so you need to be a little more specific.

Be glad. Now you can work on getting things right in camera instead.

Yes, sorry, I have changed something, the screen resolution, and I think it's got something to do with that, but before I changed it everything was stretched and distorted on my screen, it had been that way for years, I'd gotten so used to it oval things looked round to me. Now they are correct but I've lost the use of DPP.

WHat does this have to do with combining three exposures to extend the dynamic range of the camera?

:) I just read it as a rude and useless comment that wasn't worth responding to.

In any case - if you set your screen resolution (I assume you mean the display properties) back to the setting that you were using previously, does the HDR module work?

Do you need to update video drivers or something? I am not a Windows person.

I have no idea, I'm not even a computer person, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if I can figure it out, I was just hoping someone here would know. I got one helpful person (you) and one clown. Thanks Kirk

I think I'd try uninstalling DPP, and then reinstalling.

Apologies - I do not mean to be rude. I just am a proponent of single exposure imagery vs. HDR. Or at the least if necessary manual blending rather than push button HDR software.

That's all fine and dandy but irrelevant to the OPs query.

It's an HDR forum.
For people interested in HDR.
And you don't think it rude to trash HDR in that environment?

Maybe you should have just stopped at the looking part.

He's only recently joined, perhaps he just reads new posts as they come up rather than visting each section. I thought his comment was pointless and unhelpful (and a little hurtful if I let it be) but I'll cut him some slack for being new. Can we let the comment go now please.
Regarding my problem with HDR I think I'll ring Canon and see if they can talk me through a fix, I've found them to be helpful in the past.
