The USAF T-birds and the F22 Heritage Demo flight will not be performing after April 1st. The USN has not yet made any announcements regarding the Blue Angels.

Yep. I think the news stated that the Blue Angels were going to do one more fly-over for the NASCAR event and then its done, too.

All part of saving costs I guess.

Yeah unless they get stuff settled. Actually, I am not a big T-bird myself. I like the Blues better. But that is for another discussion.

No Thunderbirds, or individual weapons systems demo teams effective 1 April. No heritage flights after certification. No sports or funeral flyovers. Training for combat ops only.

Like anything else, when money flows from the heavens, so does the extraneous activity...
When money is tight we all need to cut back to the basics.
I believe the memo allows for some continuation training just in case the money flows again this year, the picture will become a bit clearer by April. Maybe the T-Birds will all hop on a bus and drive around to the hospitals and charity events portion of the shows that very few get to see.

This just sucks as I had two airshows on the books this year (just got back into them after a long break since I was a kid). Stupid budget cuts ...... holding back my political views now .... fingers crossed it all gets back to normal before air show season.

On the Florida International Air Show in March...

To all of you military jet enthusiasts. we received official word late yesterday the F-22 Raptor demo team has cancelled its appearance at FIAS. A WWII warbird performance and salute to all veterans will be added. (Love pyro!) We have a fantastic group of statics, and one of the best civilian lineups anywhere. Also stay tuned as we work to add another "something really special" you will really enjoy!

Nooo..... :( I've never seen either, and I've always wanted to. :(

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

I guess I will enjoy the warbirds even more this year which I do over the jet aircraft. The Chino Airshow is probably one of my favorite airshows.
