Drove from Denver to take some shots today. Unseasonably warm and turned out to be a pleasant trip. Though the lighting at sunset could have been better. Thought I'd share:

I was up at the Flatirons this morning for sunrise but a layer of clouds in the east blocked the sun so no good light - and no good clouds either anyway. Trying to grab a decent shot while there is some snow on them. Moon was still out and I got some of that but I don't know if it's anything worthwhile.

Great shots. I love the first one.

Black and white version (slightly different shots, but similar) works the best for me, and the third one is really nice - might also be interesting to see in a black and white ...

Let's see 'em!

Haven't had much luck for lighting this winter. I've gone out to shoot sunsets a handful of times and the sun always hides behind a thick layer of clouds during "magic hour". Maybe that's typical of the weather here.

For example, if it weren't for the clouds that shot with the elk would have had the sun hitting the top of Longs Peak.

I don't know if I will post them or not. I haven't looked at them yet but I don't think they are very good and might not warrant even processing them.
