Hmmm...lots of thumbs-down on the car's rear. And I kinda agree, it doesn't have that vette look.

When you see my camera gear you'll think I'm a pro.

Its not even just the rear for me. I think the entire thing is too busy. Also those exhausts are atrocious.

Busy is a good word for it. But I still kinda like the car. I'll get a better idea when they hit the street, and with various color schemes.

I hope it grows on me over time like the C6 generation did. I thought the first ones looked like too much of a soft update of the generation before that but then when the Z06 came out it sort of changed my mind even though I couldn't tell you exactly what was different.

bannedPermanent ban

Sports Cars are for speed, great handling, etc.
If you say Fail for Taillights ...
real reason is probably a diminished bank statement.

While you're partially correct, i can't afford something like that, the lights are still ugly.

Not neccessarily, a whole lot of people who buy sporty vehicles never even try to push the performance envelope of their vehicles. They buy them because they like the looks or the image that comes with owning a car/bike like that. The car has to be sold as a complete package and therefore looks are quite important. It explains the existence of things such as v6 mustangs/camaros/challengers which most people consider to be sporty cars. They are not as quick as the higher spec brethren but people still buy them because they look the part.

Hahaha...WHAT??!! So, by your logic, the only reason I don't like something I can't afford is because I can't afford it? Haha...this has to be one of the silliest things I've read in a long time.

Even if that car was $100, I would think the taillights are ugly/ridiculous/don't belong on a Corvette.

And yes, sports cars are for speed and great handling, but a MASSIVE part of their appeal is the way they look. Design is a HUGE part of the appeal and "selling point" of any sporty car from a Cavalier Z24 to an Aventador.

Compare to the smooth lines on this not-so-busy vette (anyone know the year?)...

This Grand Sport belongs to a guy I work with. Could have used a CP filter that day...
