Late winter sledding - UWA

Today was one of those typical late winter days with cold air but warm sun. The kids were sledding and built themselves a ramp to jump. I decided to try shooting them laying down with the 16-35, which turned out to be a lot of fun.

Couple more here. The real trick is to not get run over.

I was at f/8, 1/1000, ISO 200 and shooting between 16mm and 24mm with my 16-35L.

I started by kneeling in front of the ramp just off to one side, but this was dangerous since they aimed for me. Those were the best shots though.

Then I laid on the ground on the side. In those shots the kids are a closest to me as I shot them going past.

Fantastic images Jeffrey. UWA really puts the viewer into the action. I tried to get some pictures of my kids playing in the snow today, but their game turned out to be "who'll be first to hit daddy's lens with a snowball?"
