I don't reckon the on track shots are some of your better work Andrew.
They just look too static with not enough sense of movement.
I do like the shot of Holdsworth's stop though and the pics of the 18 are pretty good as well.

Maybe a little over saturated?

The cars look static,colours are way overdone,compositions are non existant ,and a very disappointing set .
Sorry if I sound a little blunt ,but am sure you Aussis appreciate straight talking .

Have to agree with Chris on this one.

Knock the saturation back massively and slow your shutter speed, even just to 1/500th is going to give some sign of life. Cars are easy to shoot at 1/320th and below.

I'd like to see others do better from a grand stand. Unless you are a professional Motorsport photog getting better than these is not easy. There are barriers and fencing to contend with. There are very few places for an armature photographer to get decent photos at this circuit.

Especially at street circuits grand stand seats provide some excellent vantage points. Most of the time they are the only way to get some elevation.

I am a pro and I'm not picking on anyone, just trying to give some advice on how people can improve. If I had taken images from this same spot they would have looked nothing like these because they would have had life, movement etc... Having media access is only a very small part of creating great images, plenty of people gets those and still produce rubbish.
