I'm doing that too, I'd switch in a heartbeat!

You know you can shift and stitch with larger sensors..

The two big questions:

1. Does it have a proper live view system? (i.e. one that doesn't require you to stop down and/or put ND filters in front of the lens to function)
2. Does it have the full 56mm width of a proper 645-format frame?

If the answer is yes to both, it might be interesting sliding one into the Hartblei H-Cam and putting a TS-E 17L in front of it.

I'm not keen on the Hartblei H cam. I'd rather go with a tech body instead.

Yeah, but it's the only way to get a 17mm lens in front of a medium-format sensor.

Question:

If I one uses the Achromatic with R G B filters, do they effectively get a 240MP picture?

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

I acquired an expensive camera so I can hang out in forums, annoy wedding photographers during formals and look down on P&S users... all the while telling people it's the photographer, not the camera.

Yup, the day has arrived, when we can start going out with our iDevices as portable field monitors... Hope this tech trickles down to cameras mere mortals can afford.

No you silly dillies !
B&W still has RGB tones. If u doubt this use PS RGB sliders on monochrome image.
But one day soon Bayer Logic will be replaced then you have gateway to very high MP.

Many of you don't really understand the whole ball of wax in producing Copyright high dollar ad images.
Its a quite different concept than just shooting or selling images.

The WiFi thing is really for on location shooting w/o computer wire hookup
and is of value if you work with Art Director on line giving his "direction" real time.
If you have never done this ... believe me you don't want the dude directing your shoot and changing stuff.
Imagine some AD griping, swiping, and driving you to drink with their "inputs".
The touch screen is prob the weakest link ... normal use for touch screens is 3 yrs life.
Ever have a smart phone go nuts because the touch screen connections go south ???

Oh, cool, how did I miss this? And yeah, it looks like the P45+ is just about ready for retirement, the new hour-shooter has arrived.

Edit: shame about the size of the dongle though... And it might put strain on the not-so-tough USB port of DSLRs.

No. You could merge those three images to create an 60MP image with some amazing bit depth, but it would still be a 60MP image.

Having said that, the resolution of a good MFD back, especially one like this, means you can enlarge to 240MP or larger without losing too much sharpness.
