at last, the 35mm F/1.4L

After several trys, going to singapore and calling shops in HK, it's funny that i found a 35mm 1.4L stock here in my country, the philippines!

now my own Holy Trinity is complete!

thanks rob, you know what.. sometimes, it just feels so good staring at those pieces of glass sitting inside your dry box... makes you smile... makes your day ... hehehe

That's a very capable/well thought out selection of EF lenses both L and non-L wrt focal range/versatility, resolving power, colour rendering and aperture. Well, I am not so sure about the fisheye;) (I think very few people are:D ).

Hopefully you'd be able to take them outta dry box often to shoot.... in which case a stash of CMOS cleaning supplies should come handy.;)

Congrats on completing the trinity!! The 35L is one of my favourite lenses........from your gear list, it would seem hard to pick a favourite!!

Wow. Besides being envious, I am also amazed that you found one in the Phillipines. I know some of the nicer lenses are hardly ever in stock. Only the big one-line stores have a few. You are very lucky and have fun with it.

it's hard to pick yes, but good thing i have 2 bodies at least one of the L lenses can enjoy a long time of use on the full frame 5D. I love portraits, i really do. Candid shots makes the fast primes a must. Clearly, the thin DOF (background blur) and the unequaled sharpness of the trinity of lens are the most sought after features by photographers amateur and professionals alike
