Is $2500 for a Mark IV a good price. It has see plenty of use. Its from a large newspaper. It has a few scratches on the to. Didn't see any on the screen. Only thing it comes with is the battery and charger.

Well I guess that made up my mind. I have owned 3 renal cars. Everyone ran great and lasted 5 years or more with very little to anything ever done to them.

I would do it for 2500$ if i was in the market for one. Just make sure you test it out completely before buying... Worst case the shutter dies eventually so you replace it, but after that you still got a decent price i think for an amazing camera

Eh...I wouldn't bother. Looks like the average going price for one in great shape is around $3,000...I've worked in newspapers, I've seen how those cameras are treated. It ain't pretty. ;)

Besides, newspapers are businesses. They only upgrade their gear when they absolutely have to. If you buy from an enthusiast, there's a chance they're upgrading because they WANT to...think about it...they're getting rid of it because they know they've squeezed every last drop of life out of it. If it was like $1,500 or $2,000 I'd say jump on it and take your chances...but at roughly 15% less than the average going rate, I'd pass on it.
