Saw this 777 with the new AA livery flying over the house yesterday approaching DFW.

It looked more gray to me, but when I took the photo it was at sunset and started to get dark, so lighting was not ideal. I believe the color is silver, but not a polished silver like it used to be.

Great pic! But I REALLY dislike the new scheme! The logo is cool but the planes have no character any more. I guess it was inevitable as you can't polish composites the way they did the aluminum!

Great catch :)

I have to say I like the new logo but that bland silver paint isn't very flattering. I think it needs a stripe down the side to break up all the silver.
