I am currently a true photography gear nerd, or whatever they're called.

Do we prefer to be called turds?

(given it's red in the picture.. it was level, I promise. :p)

Kind of grainy, but I actually like this photo. Would probably look really good antiqued or B&W

It's from my iPhone, and actually from Instagram. The "original" is a bit cleaner.

It's so tiny! (And the q3e works pretty well on it)

Heh. You really are "asian". :p

I think a lighter/easier to carry tripod kit would get a lot more use... for me at least. ;)

Not a very good one. A true asian would use calculus and bring along a TI graphing calculator :D I get a free pass on yukyuk-ing asian stereotypes! :p

Dimensions? My travelangel comes in under 12" without the ballhead. I'm unable to find anything more compact and stable (it's the benro in my gear list)

13.4" folded, 2.2lbs, max height 51.4", max load 22lbs.
Not as nice as your benro, but not bad for $115.

Darn, one day I'll find something significantly better and trade up. Even with a nice large gitzo tripod, I find myself generally reaching for the compact travel tripod. It's pretty darn stable at 5# and under.

Can anyone see my Flickr account?

I can see it but it took a while to fully load. Well, all of Flickr has been turtle slow since the new launch.

New Flickr is really slow. The way it was before was just fine.

+1

By the way Omar, are you following the Stanley Cup Finals? Rangers survived tonight! :)

I don't prefer "turd" over "hoarder", but it's gentle enough.
