I'd love to live in Japan. Only thing is, I don't think I can learn the language to the point where I am proficient enough to hold a job there. I know enough to be able to watch Japanese dramas and anime, and listen to Japanese music, but I can't have a conversation. How well are you able to speak it?

Yep, before coming back last week, I hadn't logged in here for a year or something. Just very busy with work, personal projects, and other life things. I don't have more time now, but I'm trying to balance my time better.

I hate you! :mad::lol:

You are brave for going on the Grizzly River Run at night! You get soaked and drying time takes so long without the sun and heat of day time. Nice pics. :cool:

As far as Santouka goes, my favorite place, yes. But my favorite of their ramen is the spicy miso one! Oh, and, :oops: ... :lol:

I love these pics. Even though it's the back of the subjects, there is something interesting about them.

have you ever had their onion rings? :D goes good with the bbq sauce they have mmmm

i didnt go that time, but i did go other times, no lines, very nice mood. i like it better than the day time :) other times we went was before world of color. we like the wet zone so we would go grizzly run beforehand since it didnt matter if we got wet hehe. ive tried all their ramen flavors, i like shoyu cuz it has more taste to it :D ill give miso another try i guess. shio was rather plain but lots seem to enjoy it best.

Brutal to say the least. A lot of people around here take either july or august off from riding. :lol:

Happy for him winning the race. Did you hear about him getting back a family token he gave to a young girl 9 years ago who was facing death due to a disease? She beat it and recently got married and sent it back to him thanking him for it. He got it back right before the race.

I need to adjust my sleep schedule so I can ride before work... The weather stinks this time of year, but the days are so long it's the time of year that you have lots of time to ride.

Yup an early morning or late in the day ride would be best when the sun isnt as high up. That is what i try to do at least during the summer months...no way around it if you are doing 70+ miles :lol:

That's quite a heart-tugging story--I'm surprised the media didn't sensationalize that either before or after. Haven't heard about that before now.

I'm a bit disappointed for Sato. He was at 6th place after 60 laps, then got robbed. Still managed to battle back from 30+ to 13 at the end, but he easily should have been in contention.

What's that "NMC" visor above the glasses? Is that built-into the helmet, or an added accessory?

I think it's NYC and it's a cycling cap.

It was shown on ESPN but rather through the conversation with him and not as a focus point. I am just as surprised as you are that it has not been made more than what it was.
