I would be more inclined to believe it if the author knew how to write proper English. ;)

The babies have decided to relocate to our smoker and use it as a toilet. If they're not careful I may have to see what smoked dove tastes like. :p

If you've seen the reaction of people who bought the RX1, it makes sense for Sony to make this move. :)

LTNS, Julian.

Hiya! My inactivity has been very minimal lately. We're in the middle of planning our ambulatory care services to another building off campus. It's very hectic right now. I hope all is well with you and your family. :)

I'd love to live in Japan. Only thing is, I don't think I can learn the language to the point where I am proficient enough to hold a job there. I know enough to be able to watch Japanese dramas and anime, and listen to Japanese music, but I can't have a conversation. How well are you able to speak it?

no not yet, i am studying... and will be studying for the next 1.5 years. So i might be able to converse a little bit by then haha anyway I am just trying my luck jere and enjoying the moment at the same time.

Yep, before coming back last week, I hadn't logged in here for a year or something. Just very busy with work, personal projects, and other life things. I don't have more time now, but I'm trying to balance my time better. :)

The thread is not as explosive as before anymore... not as fast pace, specially lately so its OK now to check in once everyday or so.

Before it was way too fast for anybody not committed enough to follow the thread so I guess you lost interest as well.

I love these pics. Even though it's the back of the subjects, there is something interesting about them.

Thanks the primes give quite an interesting look...but yeah I just started shooting streets, kinda makes me nervous to shoot people right on the face haha

I don't believe Steven has a "normal" range.

You're not daring enough! What you do is compose for a scene in which they will inevitably enter, and snap the photo as soon as they appear. It's not your fault they walked into your frame at that exact moment. ;)

I agree with this. Obviously, I wouldn't like a stranger taking an excessive amount of photos/video of me right up in my face, but if I'm out in public and it's one or two shots (or few seconds of video) because I look like an interesting subject, or if I just happen to be in the frame, no big deal.

The weirdest experience I've had in terms of photography in public was a couple asking me to take a photo of them with my camera, not for them to obtain a picture of themselves from me, but for me to have a nice memory of them on my vacation. I was dumbfounded, but I shot the photo, and they thanked me and went on their way. They didn't even ask to see the pic on the LCD screen.

I wear prescription glasses too. I was thinking that if there's a way to integrate Google glass or similar technology into prescription glasses that don't look like anything special, that would be the ultimate creeper tool, lol. Not that I would do anything creepy with such a device, nope, not at all... 0:)

haha if I can just sit and wait it out I would probably do that

I would love to take photos of these high school girls wearing tiny skirts... sometimes absurdly short. :)

I am not sure how the high end NEX are and how the current Sony lenses performs too but for some reason I found it pretty difficult to get used to the NEX-3 files back then. The control was horrible as well hehe of course its the lowest end model.

For some reason, I love Sony sensors on other brand cameras though

Hey guys, is there any way to leave my long exposure noise reduction off on camera, and then turn it on in post? (RAW) I need to know fairly quickly, hoping to shoot a timelapse in a few minutes, and I can't wait 30 seconds after every shot for it to write.

Yeah, pretty sure it can be reproduced to the same extent with software. And from my understanding, incamera noise red. doesn't actually affect RAW files?

Give this thread a read, covers a very similar scenario:
http://digital-photography-school.com …-reduction-good-idea.html (external link)

For night timelapse, I wouldn't be using noise reduction--though timelapse isn't exactly something I have a great deal of experience with.
