Shot from tonight.... The noise is hideous, and I'm reasonably certain that I overcooked it, but oh well...

True story, I once slept through my three alarms and entirely missed a final in college. This was a fill-in class in my last year, as I had already fulfilled the requirements for my major and minor, but I took it to have enough units to maintain full time status. And it was the easiest class ever. I showed up on the first day, the day of the midterm, and the days for the midterm review and final review. I had the class aced if I had just showed up for the final. Instead, I received an Incomplete. Bwaaah! -_-#

I was going to grab something from the cafeteria downstairs, but one of my coworkers came back from lunch and gave me the half sandwich and fries she did not finish. Free food, good enough for me. :D

Thanks, I'll give them a try some time! I've always wanted to do a ramen adventure where I go try all the local ramen places. It's not an original idea at all, plenty of people have blogs dedicated to ramen, but it sure as heck would be fun and delicious.

doh. that sucks bout the class. so you retook it?

I want free food too :D well not really.. if its something I dont want then I wont like it and would desire something I want instead hehe. its a bad habbit but sometimes i eat something i want before i go to the party, knowing its just generic party food that wont satisfy my cravings ;p

yes, try the ramens. it aint so bad, nice to try, few not so nice. but at least you got to try different varieties. another i like is kohryu ramen. havnt had it for awhile but its not bad. the sides are not great though so i would pass on that.

No, it was a filler class for units, but completely unnecessary to fulfill my major and minor. It was also during my last quarter there. So I have a nice "I" on my transcript. :( But it's no big deal, no one would look at it, lol.

I almost never turn down free food! The exception is if I'm already full, or it's something I truly dislike. But I'm okay with decent generic food, lol. If I was already going to have really good food, then I would accept a small quantity of the free food to save room for the good stuff. I sometimes do like you also, eating before a party if I expect there won't be much that is appetizing, but sometimes I'll chance it and go for a food run after instead if needed.

I like Kohryu! Not all my friends like it, though, so if I go, it's more often on my own, lol. Also Mentatsu. And Ajisen. Ajisen isn't close to authentic ramen at all, but it's different and yummy in its own way.

Come visit LA! Plenty of food options. Well, if you're willing to put up with the horrible air and maddening traffic.

That Crumpler backpack is awesome! If I didn't already have tons of camera bags... I also like the design with the opening in the back. The price is a bit steep, though, even for a quality camera bag. But I say that as someone trying to save for a FF DSLR in the near future, hopefully!

Its always a sad thing when people spend 3k on a camera and put it in a $50 bag, heh! (unless it does the job and protects it well, but cheap zippers = bad business).

I like Crumpler's bags. They do take a beating, but they work nicely.

Yep, everyone with a smartphone is now a photographer. It kinda echoes what Marissa Mayer said at the launch of the new Flickr. Sad times for actual photographers.

(And I don't include myself in that category. I know more about light and techniques than the average person, but I am still just a hobbyist.)
