Pffft for crop ;) Lets see a raw file not a processed in camera jpeg ;)

From a person who's 60D's camera-processed JPG's are probably worse than that at 800, I'm thoroughly impressed...

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

Compared to their other crop bodies it's an improvement.

What do you want to do with the raw file? Overexpose it by 5 stops?

Got the Otterbox for the iphone and phone got wet again. That was a simple hold it under water for 30 seconds test and failed.

So now what? Get a GoPro? A P&S that is water proof? Leaving Saturday and would like to get something before then.

GoPro's are good for certain things and not for others. If you want decent pictures of people a GoPro is not a good option (The lens options just aren't great for that). If you want something you can slap on someone as they go swimming around, then get a GoPro.

Isnt that the trendy thing these days from Nikon?

Back to my original point. I shoot raw. So a camera processed jpeg doesnt impress me much. :)

What is your budget? You can take decent pictures with a GoPro but you need to be aware about distortion.

I would get this:
