Lowest possible.

Why is that? I am always at the highest, to get the sharpness SOOC. I was wondering what others do, and what the benefits are.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

Bcoz' you can add sharpening in post but, I have to remember that you only shoot jpeg and not RAW. ;)

What about this? It's really my only option at this point since I can't find one that is perfect.

I like the layout. :) Not sure about the picture though, the fact that his entire face is covered by the smoke is just sort of meh. IMO you have better shots to put there.

Thanks! Well I'm actually going to have to disagree on the picture personally only because it's my personal favorite. Curious though, which one would you choose? I wasn't truly set on putting that one up, I just did cause I was playing favorites

IDK I'd have to sort through. To me with the face completely covered up it makes me question what's actually the subject in the picture. It's just a faceless guy smoking. You could even do one of your portraits, to give your home page some color. But I mean it's really stylistic differences, the layout is substantially better, the look is up to you.

I like the new one better ;)

Yeah, I gotcha - I guess it's a more subjective image cause that's what makes it interesting to me :)

The image I'm guessing is the one with the kids looking up you're referring to?

Yeah. Like I said, it's all just stylistic differences and what people are drawn to. If you like it, use it.

Yeah that's the one.

The other option is to have a few pictures cycling so your homepage isn't so static. But that complicates things quite a bit more.

BTW the link to your page in your signature doesn't work.

Because I can't control how the camera is applying sharpening. I don't like to apply it universally to an image but rather select parts of it.

My portfolio? Really? It works for me?...

But I wish I could do a slideshow, but the site doesn't have that option and I have no clue how I would write a script that could do something like that. Oh and do you know how to write advanced code and algorithms or stuff like that? I'm looking for some references as to where I can get started and learn all the basics.

Strange... it's working now. It wasn't before.

And no, I don't really know all that much, I had a few classes back in college but it was more basic HTML, CSS stuff.
