I sweat easily.. and my, this apartment was super warm. I had to do the shoot right next to a space heater and I was sweating bullets -_- I was nervous as this was my first formal shoot (for friends). I have my first paid engagement session coming up in a few weeks, and I hope that is less stressful! The baby poo'd mid-session a couple times :P Gave me a nice chance to regroup.

The light is from a sliding door on the camera right, an umbrella on camera left, and sometimes an Orbis ring flash for fill. We used a white sheet for the background.

I purposely pulled the shadows and exposed a little more--hopefully not overdone.

I have one more thing I want to do with this session--do a photoshop trick where I make the baby and basket look like it's floating in mid-air :) I'll get to that later.

Thanks for your feedback! May I have feedback on my watermark and business name as well? hyogen is my middlename...'hyo' is pronounced like "flow". Is this too hard? Should I go with Justin Lee Photography?? If my logo is hyofoto, is it still okay to have my business/website name as Justin Lee Photography? Thanks!!

Lovely images.
Very well done.
How about Gen rather than Hyo when added to foto?

thank you! That is a great idea--but my ex-gf's name was Jenn.. I don't think it'd fly with the wife for whatever reason. It'd just be weird -_-

To be honest hyo, I didn't really like your attitude in quite a few of your previous posts. But gotta say, love your work in this one :D keep up the good work and be nice ;)

My personal option, but I would've put a white tank top or something on the dad in the first few images. He just looks too naked, especially since the mom's top is so flashy and noticeable in all the pictures. Or I guess if not the dad, I would at least put a white or not as bright of a top on the mom. Hope that makes sense.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm wondering what you're referring to when you say my attitude? I don't think it was a 6d vs d600 issue was it?

Just wondering. A lot of times I don't get much sleep, or none at all...haha. So, if I came off the wrong way it was probably unintentional, but I apologize regardless.

Actually might have been in a thread about that :)
But most of us want to reassure that our choice is the best choice for us, and other choices are not as good. Just in the progress sometimes end up raining on other people's parades. All is good though.

ah, okay -_- I didn't mean to bash the camera. In fact, I know I would have been happy with the 6D as well. As a nikon owner, I very much miss Canon lenses and prices. Also, I really envy the wifi and -3EV center dot AF point. My d600 seems to focus about as bad if not worse than my old T1i in low low light...!

You have far exceeded the 8 photo limit per thread per forum rules. Please review them. I removed the excess. You may start another thread & post 8 shots there.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Nice pictures. But why is the bucket flying in the 2 picture? It looks strange to me.

Thanks. Would it have been better with a brown leather ottoman under the bucket?
