My goodness! That thing looks like an armored personnel carrier moving through the underbrush. Good find! What is the size of that thing Kurt? Thanks for sharing.

I honestly thought you were putting us on with photos of a very elaborate plastic toy in the 1st image. It is SO much like a caricature of a spider. Wow. Are you sure this is real? :lol:

LOL...Yes, it's a real trapdoor spider. I lured it out of its trapdoor nest! :D

Pete - yes, that's the eyes cluster.

sapearl - this one was quite big..one of the biggest I found that way. About one inch long i think.
