Toby, there are a multitude of trails in the parks we visited. At one particular spot, we were told not to venture too distantly in a secluded & dense area as there may be snakes and/or crocs, both of which one should be quite aware of! At the Everglades, there are pathways and trails all about. There is some great information on the Net about the Everglades and doing a bit of research would help you along the way. (We do plan Costa Rica next Winter and look forward to that immensely. Hey, the more the merrier!) :)

re Costa Rica Tristan Bantock is showing some great captures from the region around the San Gerardo Biological Station.

great ones Ish! light is definitely a lot better than the ring flash :) love the skipper! wonderful detail and light!

Thanks, Andres. Deni is still working on something that will not be too heavy and at the same time, able to give more pleasing results. Heavy gear is (one of) my problems!

Lovely captures- sounds like you all had a great time in Florida
Brian v.

Thank you, Brian. We had quite a wonderful time in Florida. The bug life is amazing there and one surprisingly good thing was the lack of mosquitoes. Fortunately, our Canadian winter seems to be slowly creeping its way into the past and we look forward to milder days very soon; it will be 10 degrees on Sunday!!! (One wood louse is already out!)

Toby, I thank you so much for that link; it is absolutely amazing stuff! The hoppers alone would make the Costa Rican trip worth it! Much appreciated. :)
