Excellent shot, Andrew! That's quite the glint in his eye! Whose arm was he sitting on?

LOL Ian, thanks a lot. No arm was used in this shot except to hold the lens as this wholly wild chap was quite happy to sit on the rocks and pose for a little while. These chaps are not especially bothered by me as I think they know that I mean them no harm.

Oh, yes, I should also say no baiting was used in order to get this shot aside from a little polite conversation and a running commentary from me as I took shots of him - I always end up talking to them, can't help myself....like, "just left a bit please", and "ok, great, now if you could turn your head to the side just a tad", "nice catch-light in the eye there, ok, just hold it there....lovely, great....", etc, etc....(please tell me I'm not the only one who talks to the birds like this.....).

You're not supposed to stand on your subjects, Andrew :p

Wonderful shot; I'm not sure what's sharper...the image or his beak

And, no, you're most definitely not alone in talking to your subjects; although I very well may drop my camera if one responds...:D
