After taxes, it was only $.11.

Just kidding, I stopped working in 1999, I'd had enough and at 52 I figured it was time to start enjoying myself.

Wow! 1400 for the Rebel. That's one reason I never got into digital in the beginning. I remember buying memory for an old Gateway PC at 40 bucks for 1Mb.

I always wondered why people black out serial numbers. What on earth can anyone do with a Canon 50mm serial number? What would that get a scammer?

With that serial number and a POTN id, its just a short hop to having access to their bank accounts, credit cards and car keys. ;)

or, maybe I am ignorant of what it can or cannot be used for, so I was being cautious. No need to be a dick about it.

Well, if I was that dishonest, I could easily register it as mine with CPS, for one.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

Sorry not to derail the initial post but what would that give you?

Not much, just more CPS points, so I could register for a higher level than I was. I am already at Platinum, but I'm just saying if I was dishonest...

Oh you young pups.. :):) Why back in the day when I upgraded my AppleII from it's standard 16k (not a typo, kilobytes) to 48k a whopping 32k upgrade, the cost was $2000. That's 16 cents a byte or 2 cents a bit. Ahh... the good old days. :):):)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.
