Why? The thread isn't closed, it's about a lens that is only a year old and it's here to debate the lens, why on earth would you think its a joke?

No one has said anything about a pic being better than anyone else's, it was posted in response to anther posters (IMO) silly comments.

Why are you belittling someone I expect you don't even know? I did t know there was a timeout on these threads, I thought you could post anytime you wanted.

Yes, this forum doesn't have any hard rules about waking up threads.

Even old threads where someone asked a specific question about a specific problem (and where the OP is long gone already) can be meaningful to update with new information for newer readers - especially since POTN is quite well-placed on Google searches.

Can anyone use other words to describe how awesome this lens is without using the word, "sharp?" Color rendition? Focusing speed (which I know is amazingly fast)? Is the bokeh better than the Ver. 1?

So is the bokeh better on the mk 2 compared to the mk 1?

This might be the deal breaker for me in purchasing the mk 2.

I use the mk 1 very frequently. I would not mind spending $ to upgrade to the mk2. My mk 1 copy is excellent. Very sharp except at f2.8. I have no doubt that the mk 2 would be even sharper, more accurate AF, etc.

I use the lens for travel (people) and landscape. Hence the improvement in sharpness and accurate AF in the mk 2 would be great. But I love the bokeh in the mk 1 for portraits. Just wondering if I'd be able to replicate that with the mk 2.

Many thanks. :)

Wow. It's just a lens. The OP could only post about his own experience. Which he did. As others posted theirs. I appreciate the input. If I ever go to purchase this lens he has given me something to be on the lookout for. Then I can make my own informed decision. Every lens is not perfect for everyone. I appreciate all the info I can get before I plunk down my hard earned cash.
