It was Senior Night for BSU, so last time in this venue until next year. This was also their first daytime meet, and this venue even has windows, so for some of the event I had side fill light and ISOs under 1000, which is an unfathomable amount of light for gymnastics to me, but also fooled with the metering system for ISO selection a little more. I put a lot of focus into making an effort to get more of the apparatus into the photos on beam and bars, and on floor I tried using the 300 2.8 and going for more of the faces, emotion and energy during the choreography, because while I was getting the action during the tumbling passes at past meets, getting the action and having it look flattering at the same time was few and far between.

And while it was Senior night for BSU, my gymnastics coverage season is not over yet; I will still likely be shooting a handful more college meets at other schools, as well as a some level 9 and 10 gymnastics. So any feedback or adjustments to make are welcome. I am also slowly but steadily learning the sport and how to pick the better gymnastics aspects out of my photos to start to better show the skill, so I may have better skill photos in the gallery and not realize it, though I did get a little help from my resident expert this time around.
