Haven't seen the previous one but seems you can play with shutter speed a bit more to get a better presence of falling water.

You might increase the exposure on the water just a tiny bit, especially the part on the bottom, which looks grey. The rest is tonally flat. The right side of the histogram shows no tones on the light end, while everything else is bundled over on the dark side. See how you like it if you adjust levels. It will make the other colors pop a little more.
