I want to purchase a Canon 70-300 L IS lens an found a good price at HDew Camera in the UK.
I found enough information about HDew-Camera so I am not questioning their credibility.
So I called them today as I am located in the Netherlands and asked about the warrant of the items they sell because I know their items are grey import.
I needed to know what will happen if I need to claim warranty in the event the lens develops a problem? The sales person at HDew told me in such an event to go to a local Canon certified repair facility in the Netherlands and get a quote from them, email that quote to HDew and after approval, I could have it repaired and they will cover the cost.
Now, I could save 230 Euro ($300) by ordering from HDew-Camera.
Can anyone who have purchased from HDew-Camera please let me know about their dealings with them? Is the above HDew-Camera warranty offer worth the saving on purchase price?
