Do people not reply to post with bad spelling?

The field here is photography! Spelling "lens" as "lense" is just insulting. One might as well spell the camera brand as "Cannon"!

That being said, bad grammar offends me much more than bad spelling.

It is the writer's job to make his post a pleasure to read, not a chore. If someone tries, especially a non-native poster, I will bend over backwards to help. However, if I perceive that someone doesn't care enough to try, then I ignore him and move on.

It's all a matter of how much respect the writer has for me, the reader. If he has none, then he gets none.

This is my outlook as well.
What really irks me, is when someone uses texting lingo; "n" instead of "and", "2" instead of "to/too". It reeks of laziness, which texting and cell phones has created. :mad:

Sometimes when you genuinely try to help the people who can't spell it's like talking to a slime mold.

Also, I'm not going to go nitpick people misspelling things like lens even if it's there in front of me because it's not worth getting in to an argument over.
