(i.e. the blue eyes is a cool idea, but it's not her, and the flattened plastic skin isn't as pretty as her original skin) Weddings, Portraits, Seniors, Models

This was just an experiment for me. I'm trying to learn PS so I got me a few books and was trying out the techniques. Thanks for the comments. ![]() I've done the same... Like I said, it's kinda cool that you can change eyes like that. I've actually had girls ask me to change their eyes or their hair colors because they are thinking of dying their hair or getting colored contacts, etc. It's fun ... I just think the end result just isn't "real" enough.
She's a pretty gal, without any enhancements. All I've really done is shaded her face a bit to add contours, added a little more color (especially to highlights in her hair) and softened the image a little. The background is still very distracting and needs to be dealt with. It would have been better to watch for a cleaner background before shooting, but there are still things you can do with the background even now. Have fun and keep shooting! Lose the blue eyes, keep most of the skin smoothing and belmish removal, and replace the background with something more neutral IMHO. Looks like you have blured most of her face the same way. you dont need to smooth the whole face to improve the skin appearance. Try to limit your editing to the brighter parts and mask the edges of the face so you wond edit them at all. Gear list. Photoshop tips and tricks I've learned here at POTN.
