Just want to say hi to everyone.This is my first post but i have been a member for quite a while.This is an amazing website.Glad i came across it.

This robin was searching for worms in my yard when she caught me.

Nice shot! Took me a long time to get up the nerve to post my first photo...it was probably a horse in the "Show me your horses" thread, but now I post photos all the time. So much to learn here! Keep sharing.

Great first post.
I was audacious enough to post as soon as I joined(with way worse photos than yours) but the response and suggestions I received were very practical and helpful.

Well, belated welcome, Steve; that's a very nice starting shot. Always nice to have a cooperative subject, isn't it? :D

One suggestion I'd make is watch your exposure; this one is a *hair* bright, giving you some hotspots in the highlights on its breast and neck. If you pull the exposure back just a little bit, you'll notice that the colors of the bird pop a little bit better and those highlights are not as harsh.

Keep it up, keep posting and we'll be looking forward to more!
