blew it up to 500% to see it better, its on alot of shots, very annoying, bought a used body from adorama, just shooting jpeg, probably about 1000iso, 60 sec, 2.0 from 100 f/2, never had a used camera before, just wondered it it was a setting or?, thanks,
mike

there are usually about 4-5 of these noise thing on pics, can start to see them when you get to about 75%, and so far on every image, i bought this 5d very used, shot with these lenses on the first 5d i got from adorama, that had a back focusing issue and didnt have these marks, i did a hot pixel noise test, and showed maybe 20-30 hot pixels, but it seems like they may be on image. thanks,
mike

Typical hot pixel. My 5DII has quite few of them on high ISOs and slow shutter speeds, they never appear on the same pixel.
On normal iso and shutter speeds they are non existent.

Just deal with it. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/hot-pixels/index.htm (external link)

Raw editors will automatically map them out. Not sure if there is an easy solution for jpeg shooters...however unless you are cropping your images to 1:1 pixels on a regular basis, they will never show up in print or on screen.

taking more pictures, they occur in the same spot from iso 1600 to 500, didnt see them at iso 320. I bought this from adorama, but it seems acceptable.

thing is i can return this to adorma, and try to get another one, would it be worth it. Last one had a severe back focusing issue.

I would have kept the old 5d, but it had a some hot pixels in the middle of the picture. The old 5d was pretty beat up. The 3rd 5d I got from adorama, seems like it is pretty much new. Has a scratch on one bottom corner and thats it. Also the shutter sound is alot different, the two i had before made a huge clunking sound and kind of a weird motor spring sound. The new one is awesome, no dead pixels or hot pixels at normal shooting iso's and shutter is alot quieter. Also i got a refurb 430 flash from them, that looked new.

ALL cameras are going to have hot pixels, even brand new ones.
It's not a big deal at all, camera raw and LR clean it up for you automatically.

Nothing to worry about. This is normal. Doesn't show up until you take shots at night (long exposure, hi ISO, etc). Easy to clone out.

I'm in Canada. Isn't that weird!
