You have to decide if the shot is of the sky and smoke, or the train and smoke I think.

Mar 11, 2013 07:42 | #8 Levina is right on the cropping. I also agree with agb, is the shot about the smoke or the train. I think the whole image looks a bit overcooked. A more subtle touch and a few adjustments would make this a wonderful photo. You might also try a slower shutter for a hint of motion blur if you are shooting on a tripod.

It conflicts with the horizon. I think maybe a few steps to your left (without getting hit by the train) would have been a better angle on it.
