Concorde @ Duxford Air museum in 1996 originally shot on film and before she was moved inside. The 2nd shot again originally on film again for those that have never seen Concordes cockpit as photographed through a perspex screen - nope they dont let you all the way!!

Agree they were about 25 years old when retired, but they still had some life left in them

Nice shots. First time I was in that bird was at Duxford in 1992. I was just there last month and glad to see the new hangars are completely full with many of the airplanes that used to be outside. Nice to know they're finally out of the weather, and some are getting repainted again to look like new.

They used to take off over the lake where I sailed, always impressive, and noisy!!!

Hmmm, possibly! - Really dont know but it was still possible to get a shot thru it

Used to hear them making position reports (on the HFs) coming across the Atlantic. Was interesting to plot them against our position comparing our progress against theirs. Felt like we were slugs which we were essentially puttering along at Mach .84

I used to work at the hangar for American Eagle at DFW and when they would depart, everyone was outside to watch. I still have my Braniff Concorde pin...

That one is preserved in England, so I'll have to get down to see her sister which is preserved on Scottish soil.
Just realised it is now already unbelievably 10 years since the Concorde fleet was retired back in 2003.
