Can you help?

Looking for a recommendation on a great bag I can carry on a domestic flight:

Must hold -

15" Macbook Pro
iPad
5D Mark III
70-200 L mm f/2.8
135 L mm
16-35 L mm
70-300 L mm
600 EX RT flash
ST E3 Commander
Canon GPS unit
CF memory card wallet
Canon battery charger unit

I like the idea of a strong Pelican case, but not sure it'll make the carry weight limit.

What about Think Tank? Any suggestions?

Much appreciated.

I just noticed this bag on B&H's site:

Depends on the size and weight restrictions on different airlines. If you know what airlines you will be flying, check on their website for carryon restrictions. Some of the smaller planes get sticky on the carryon limits. I once saw a photographer pulled aside arguing about his carryon photo equipment. I don't think he won the argument.

I carry similar gear as you when I travel. My current bag of choice is a Tenba Universal roller:

Really solidly constructed and well padded. Swallows all my gear, including my laptop, with room to spare. I've not had any problems bringing it on a plane as a roller bag on both domestic and foreign flights.

Just got home from Hawaii. Used my Thinktank Streetwalker HardDrive for the plane, was fabulous backpack!

Just packed the Billingham Hadley Pro in luggage for my daily walkaround bag. Couldnt have been better!

Why advertise that you have expensive stuff? Get a few Puleme cases and put them in a used hard rolling carry-on that you pick up at the Salvation Army for under 10 bucks.

ThinkTank Airport Accelerator for me. Slides in the upper bin.
The airport rolling bags are nice too.

i like the thinkthank airport essentials. there isn't a dedicated slot for the macbook like there is the ipad but you can slide it in there. carry your 5d3+70-200 around your neck when checking in to help reduce weight since youre allowed to carry on a camera.

without the tripod, and with one body and lens arounds my neck, and a few other nicknacks in there that are missing in the pic (like a flash), my bag weighed in at 16 lbs. carry on limit was 15 but they let it slide.

rolling bags are heavy (the one you posted is 9 lbs) while this backpack is only 3

I agree you should not look like you have $20,000 worth of camera equipment with you, but I also don't think you should look homeless either :).

Depending on where you are going, the cab drivers/tour guides/anyone looking to make a buck will pick out those who look less travel savvy and try and scam them. I prefer a bag that makes me look like a poor target.

Same idea, nice general carry on :)

Figure out what all that weighs, and if you can swing it, I would go with a Pelican 1510, and put a TSA approved lock on it.

The #1 thing I always worry about when I carry on my camera equipment, is having gate check my bag. If I had to carry that much equipment, this would elevate my concerns.

I use the gura gear 22l+ as a backpack and the thinktank airport airstream as a roller.

i have a shapeshifter and that load makes my backache already :)
i'm not sure a 70-200 2.8 would fit actually but everything else would be fine, i don't have one to test though.

a gura gear kiboko 22l or bataflae would work.

I also have a shape shifter and my 70-200 f2.8 is with hood reversed fits :)
