This is my first stacking attempt ; The shots was taken with a reversed 50mm f1.8 on my 100mm macro lens and stacked using Combine ZM. 5 shots stacks for both pics! Would like to have you expert point of view about it ; C&C are most welcomed.

Hi Pri, the stack quality is great; All you need to work out is your light angle and diffusion

Came out well. Think I can see some haloing or duplication of hairs which needs a bit of editing.

Thanks Andres, i am using only one flash and I tried using a white cardboard reflector on the other side but did not get enough light on the bug. the other problen is the distance! What would you advise me to get a better result?

Thanks Brian. Noticed that! mainly on the first one. What type of editing can get rid of that?

Thanks for sharing the set up Andres! Very helpful. I must include the sheet of packing foam/velum paper over the lens to get more diffusion and also the white card below the subject to bounce light!

I will receive a Canon 270 exII flash soon (already ordered) along with Yongnuo YN-622C wireless trigger and I will try to use the Canon flash along with a Yongnuo YN468. Do you think it's a good idea? If yes how do I need to set up everything? Thanks

Sorry to hijack the thread, but are you saying a speedlight is better than a ringlite?

yes. in my opinion, and the opinion of many others, any speedlite properly diffused on a flash bracket to get it close to the end of the lens, will outperform a ringlite every time.
i gave up on mine trying to get nice diffused light out of it.
