Grandmother with Granddaughter

From this past Christmas. Not as sharp as I'd like as it was shot with the kit lens. I wish I could go back and get a little more room both above and below. CC welcome.

There is nothing wrong with your "kit lens". I bloody hate that term. Don't think for a minute that a company like Canon would sell one of their cameras with a lens that wasn't perfectly capable. It's not the camera that takes a great photograph.

Enjoy this for exactly what it is; a beautiful moment to be treasured by your family that you did an excellent job capturing.

And no, but it's also true that their higher end lenses take better photos. I loved that lens. It got me into photography but there's nothing wrong with admitting its a beginner lens and higher quality lenses will give you better pictures. That's all I was trying to say.

This is a touching capture. I agree with you about the crop though. Wish there was more on the bottom especially.
