Any thoughts on Canon's EF 17-35 f/2.8L

Hey all...

Adorama has this lens advertised in their used section, and I just wanted to know if this might be a viable choice over a brand new 16-35 f/2.8L. I don't mind buying used, especially when it comes to this type of lens... more than likely the previous owner used it, but didn't abuse it. And as far as it goes, I don't think I'll miss the 1mm at the wide end.

The bew 16-35 is much much sharper. I had a 17-35 for a bit and then got a 16-35...night and day difference

Don't know what you are going to pay but there is a 16-35 for sale in the marketplace.

When the 17-35 came out to replace the original 20-35L, almost everyone agreed that the 20-35L was better optically.
