Hi All,
I had my first shoot with a live human. She’s not a model, just someone who wanted some photos. I need posing ideas real bad(like that english). I was left floundering at times when asked “what do you want me to do now”.
I let the SS speed drop to low(pretty annoyed) so they're not as sharp as they should be. Annoying learning these lessons when I should be paying attention whilst in the moment.
Any other tips you guys can point me on please. I need a tough skin so let me have it.

I love #2.

I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

I like the third with some more softening / blur of skin on right shoulder.

The face on two is best, the right arm touching the right shoulder looks strange. Step back, you've cropped into the body in three places.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

samsen - I see what you mean about the back of her shoulder. I'll have a go at it. I haven't actually used any softening previously.

aboudd - I really like her face and hair in that one. She was posing differently and then threw her elbow out to the(image) right and it looked nice so I snapped but cut off her elbow. I tried balancing the cutoffs that's why it's cropped that way.

I like shot #2 but the pose is quite akward, but the colors really pop especially the eyes. It seems to draw you in.

OK everyone, where should I have asked her to put her hand?
Up by her cheek
Below her neck, sort of above her chest
Let it hang out of shot

I need some ideas please?

For shot #2, I would vote either out of the shot or below her neck.
