Looking at the price of the RX1, I hope they don't go crazy in that regard with the NEX9.

Despite what people think, Canon does too ;)

Everyone wanted a 5D with better AF. Check.
Everyone wanted an entry level FF. Check.
Everyone wanted a sharper 24-70. Check.
Everyone wanted a 24-70 with IS. Check.

Now some details might not have been entirely along the lines of what people expected (e.g. IS only in the f4 version of the 24-70), and the prices mainly, but you can't deny that what people wanted, they mostly got.

Canon really knows how to listen.

Ok sarcasm aside im glad to see what the other companies are doing and Canon will continue to provide customers with a good line of products as well. Some things are impressive other things not so much.

You can hardly credit Canon for the 5d3. My son (age 6) could have figured that one out, after the blunder of the AF on the 5d2. I'm using manual lenses now, so no biggie, but still.

Canon reminds me to a day late and a dollar short these days. eg: EOS-M.

The only thing I don't like about this is that I will pull the trigger on an RX1 soon, as I've dumped enough crap to justify it. I assume this won't be released any time soon though.

And some people were crazy enough to ask for a mirrorless that would work well with EF lenses,. people that got poopooed being told it would never happen.

Mirrorless that works with EF lenses. Check
(of course in the time it took them to do so, I went and got a Nikon v1

What they ask for and what they will pay for is often a different story.

Yup. And according to Mirrorlessrumors.com, a full frame NEX is on the horizon. :) It will most likely be revealed at the end of this year or early 2014.

May be its time to upgrade my 5K now.
Love Sony (The other Canon).

Only if they could sponser or give a free trial of their products such as A99 to few people in this forum (I officially have taken my number, others take your own and go to the back of line), they could be a lot successful to enter the world and more importantly the heart of pros. That is the only one thing Sony misses i.e. "Acceptance in pro community".

The main reason for that is lack of true "pro" bodies, limited supertelephoto selection and a relatively weak support system.

Other than that, they're awesome*! ;)

* No, they really aren't... :D

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!
