Now I'm just hoping it's as good as it looks on paper :)

Assuming the screens are similar, I'm quite pleased with the U2713H as an upgrade from my 2407WFP-HC.

First thing to do is see if it suffers the same USB3 hub and card reader issues that its cousin, the U2713H, suffers.

You will not see this if you have the monitor hub hooked up to a USB 2.0 port.

I see... To start with it will not be hooked up to a USB3 port since my current computer only has USB2. In that thread, it seemed like there could have been a problem between Windows and the USB3 hub... I'll be using it with a Mac so I'm hoping it will be ok.

Great another monitor to keep me up at night about potentially buying a thunderbolt display.

How is the anti glare on the u2713h? I bought a u2711 and can not stand it. The anti glare coating drives me absolutely nutso. I am planning to buy a couple cinema displays instead, but am curious about the new u2713h.

I've never used the U2711. My last monitor was a 2407WFP-HC (2407WFPb). The AG on that was noticeable, but not objectionable, IMO. The AG on the U2713H is smoother than that, for sure. Hard to really quantify, but I'm quite happy with the purchase. Now if they'd only get that pesky USB3 hub issue sorted out...

Since they're all the same generation, I'd assume the AG on the U2413, U2713H and U3014 are all the same, but I don't have any facts to back that up.

I'm sure you'll be fine for many years with that one. I think I would have been very happy with a U3011 if it wasn't for how much heat something like that gives out. I actually believe the U3014 runs cooler than my old 2209WA which I think is pretty nice considering the size.

Yes it does get warm, but mine is hanging on the wall with nothing around it, so it has the best air flow (short of pointing a fan at it) that a monitor can have and the heat seems to dissipate well. But thats good to know about the U3014 running cooler.

As it's winter here now, a little bit of extra heat wouldn't be so bad ;) LOL

Ha! Exactly! When I have my big PC on and my office door closed its like having a little space heater running, I get all nice and cozy!
